What do you need to do now? Your first step is to make contact with me to see if the time, and date you have chosen is available in my diary. Due to bookings being made so far ahead I would advise you to do this as soon as possible.
If you are a resident or a visitor the procedure is the same. The legal requirements state you must be over 18 and free to marry.
The official Notice of Intended Marriage form referred to as the NOIM must be completed and witnessed by a specified person.
The NOIM must be lodged with me a minimum of one month and one day prior to your marriage. At the time of lodgement you will need your birth certificates, passports and a deposit. (As a guideline I abide by the AFCC recommended fee at the time). If you have been previously married I would need to sight evidence as to how the marriage was terminated.
If it is possible to meet, that's good. If you are too far away we can complete all the preliminaries by email, mail and telephone.
If you have cultural circumstances, special desires or ideas please let me know and we will incorporate those in your ceremony.
